It's almost fall which means it's almost time to whip out those flats! I love flats. I really don't own heels, because they're uncomfortable and I hate them. So I prefer to wear sandals and flats.

I wanted to compile a list of my favorite flats and ones that I want. I can't wait to wear them with jeans and a comfy sweater! What is your favorite shoe?

I have wanted these for years! But I just never got them. My friend had a pair and they were so comfy and lasted forever. This fall season might be the season I finally buy my own pair ;)

These are super cute. I love the two-tone and the scalloped pattern. I actually just bought a pair of flats from Forever 21 and was surprised that they were actually comfortable. I will be buying more pairs of flats from there for sure.

I love the look of these types of flats but I'm not sure if I can pull it off. Do you ever want to try a new style but aren't sure if you'd look right wearing it? That's how I feel about these style of shoes. But I always like them on other people so I will just have to do it!

I have been lusting over these forever. I don't like the traditional Tory Burch flats that most people have with the elastic back. I've worn flats like that before and it gives me blisters on my achilles. But I really love their other ballet flats. Perhaps in the future I'll splurge (and hope that they last me a few years!)

You can never go wrong with flats (or any shoe) from Target!

These are my absolute favorite shoes in the fall and winter. I can't even explain how comfortable they are. I also like the grip on the bottom so you're not sliding around on ice in the winter. I have flat feet and shoes usually hurt my feet and shins (as opposed to wearing sneakers), but I have no issues with these!

What are your favorite types of shoes? Do you love flats as much as I do? :)

Lilly Pulitzer Sale!

So I only found out about the Lilly Pulitzer After Party sale yesterday, and I knew I had to go on there this morning.

I've been wanting a Lilly dress for a while now and this is my chance! So lo and behold, "my first Lilly," which is now sold out :(

I really, really loved this dress too but they no longer have it in my size.

And lastly, I'm debating on this one too. It's a cotton material, so I'm not sure what it would look like on me. Has anyone gotten a Lilly cotton dress? Thoughts?

I'm going to head to the store after work and see if I can buy anything in person, and try some stuff on because I have no clue of the fit. I mean I'm already ordering online, so if I find out I got the wrong size I'll be mad but...I want to know if I ordered the right size :)

I found a few dresses that were available and then once I clicked "Add to shopping cart" they were already sold out! It's possible the ones above have sold out since I wrote this.

Has anyone else been shopping the Lilly site today? What did you buy?

Bloomingdale's Dresses Sale

Bloomingdale's has a selection of dresses that are on sale...and you get an extra 25% off with the code "DRESS." Sweet!

I got the email alert this morning so I decided to peruse and see what I find. Here are a few of my favorites:

AQUA Dress - Sleeveless Printed Pleat Skirt Fit and Flare - $90.24

This is perfect for as a back to school dress in the fall, when it's still pretty warm out...and you want to look cute the first few weeks - then it's all down hill from there ;)

AQUA Dress - Spaghetti Strap Sequin Bodice Pleated Skirt - $84.60

This would be a great dress for a more formal occasion. I love the pleated skirt. I tend to like dresses with this kind of fit as opposed to more form-fitting ones because after a night of eating or drinking, I need a dress that will hide some stuff :)

Adrianna Papell Dress - Sleeveless Illusion Beaded Neck - $191.25

How pretty is the detailing on this dress? This is perfect for a fall wedding. There's more beading on the back as well. I like the fit and color. Do you prefer summer or fall weddings? I'm all about fall - it's my favorite season!

AQUA Dress - V Back Lace - $109.44

Another great dress for the fall, whether you're going back to school or need new dresses for the office. The color is a pale pink color.

Lush Dress - Strappy Back - $46.40

Because we all need a little black dress ;) I like the shoulder straps and high neckline - and the straps on the back of the dress as well!

I think the 25% is today only so head over and start shopping!

Which one of these is your favorite? I really love that navy blue dress...wish I had a wedding to go to!

So About This Amazing Video App...

One night I mentioned to my friends how cool Kendall Jenner's videos on her Instagram were (yes, these are the many random things girls talk about) and the app she was using to make them.

I found out the name was 8mm Vintage Camera. It's $2.00 and my friend downloaded it seconds later. We stayed up ALL night recording little video snippets and putting them together. It was so much fun. And the vintage camera made it come out SO adorably. I definitely can say it's worth the two dollars.

The video above is one me and my friends made at the lake club in our town. Let me know what you think of the video and the app if you decide to get it! :)

P.S. the song in the video is "L.A.F" by Broods

 Catch ya later,

Nordstrom Sale: Back To School

Can you believe it's already August?? Summer is almost over! But I'm okay with that because fall is my favorite time of year.

I was perusing Nordstrom's sale page and found a lot of things that will be great for back to school. One thing I am definitely buying will be a field jacket and a rain jacket - 2 must-haves for when it gets cooler outside!

Here are other things on my shopping list:

Caslon Clean Front Five-Inch Shorts

Bobeau Front Keyhole Embroidered Tank

I really love the Michael Kors jacket! I'd love to one day own a Barbour field jacket, but for those on a budget like me, this is a great option :)

What are some of your back to school must-haves this year??

Apartment Decorating

I'm so excited to be moving into my own apartment in a few weeks! I'll admit - I will miss living at home, and know I'll be homesick. But I know it will be great to have my own space...and my complex has a pool!

The hardest thing has been picking stuff out to decorate the apartment. Originally, I wanted to go with a boho theme in the living room, but now I think I want more of a beachy theme. So far, the living room is the only room that I have most of the stuff for. I have yet to buy stuff for the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom! But at least I have a really comfy couch ;)

I'm still in the process of buying stuff and there is still a lot on my to-do list. I wanted to share my "wish-list" with you all and see what you think & what you would add. Perhaps there are things I am forgetting!

Here is an image of what I'm trying to go for in the living room:

I love blues and greens, so that's what I tried to go with.

And here are a few things I really want!

Area Rug
I really need an area rug for the living, but also a smaller one for the bedroom. I love patterned rugs like this one...or maybe I'll look for a chevron one?

Ginger Jar
I first saw these on Mackenzie Horan's blog and loved them. They are a great decorative piece to put on a side table or shelf.

Storage Shelf
I really need some sort of small storage space. I plan on putting this behind the back of my couch, since my couch will stick out from the wall a bit. It will be a good way to disguise that and have some extra shelf safe. Luckily, I already have a big bookshelf for all my books :)

I have no kitchenware yet except for cups. My sister makes fun of me because she says I buy everything else (like wall paintings, frames, etc.) but not the necessities like things to eat out of haha. Oops.

Wall Art
This photo is from an Etsy seller. I love looking through Etsy for prints or photography. I want a few for the living room, and want to find a big, horizontal print for over the bed.

Throw Pillows

I haven't bought any pillows yet because I'm deciding on if I want to buy them or make my own. Can you tell I love blues and greens? :) Currently, some pillows at Target are buy 3 get the 4th one free, so if you're in need of some pillows, check it out!

That's all I can think of for now but I know there is still a ton I'm missing. If you think of any apartment necessities, please leave a comment below or tweet me

All of these are in the Tri-State area BUT if you click on the tour name it will take you to an official website where you can see if they're coming to a town near you!

Link to my blog 'The Earbud' with the concert dates, places, and times are HERE HERE HERE :)

Who are you looking to go see in concert this last month of summer?

Travel in style (and comfort) this summer

It's summatime! Most of us use this time to travel and experience new places. Patty and I are on our one week countdown for Paraguay and Brazil and we are SO excited. We have been shopping for things that we need before we leave and I decided to dedicate this post to cute & comfy airplane outfits. The flight from Newark, NJ to Asuncion, Paraguay is about a 12 hour flight (ah!) so I'm going to show you all some outfit inspirations for flights (or car rides) like mine:
LA Hearts Ethnic Crepe Beach Pants ($29.95):  I just bought a similar pair of these flowy pants from Marshalls. They feel like pajamas!

Free People Half Moon Tank ($48): A simple tank top pairs great with a crazy patterned pant like these ones.

Mango Linen Cardigan, Light Beige ($59.31): I always have to have a big comfy sweater/sweatshirt with me on the plane. It gets so cold up there!

TOMS White Crochet Women's Classic ($58.95): Any slip-on shoe is great for airports and airplanes. Especially when you're being rushed to take off your shoes to get through security. I always panic, haha.

Longchamps La Pliage Mini Tote ($95.00): Carry on totes are a must. All of your necessities you need on hand should be in your tote because once you're separated from your suitcase all you have is your carry-on bag.

This outfit is more workout comfy inspired.

Nike Sportswear LEGASEE Leggings ($52.56): Leggings are another go-to option to be comfy basically anywhere! Black leggings match with anything which is so convenient.

Check MEOWT Unisex Workout Tank ($24.99): I can't tell you how much I love funny graphic tees. This one I found on Etsy is absolutely adorable!

KP85 Womens Zip Hoody Grey Marl ($24.05): Like I said before, comfy sweaters/sweatshirts...are a must.

Vans Classic Slip-On Sneaker ($47.00): Slip-on sneakers are great for people who need support when walking around a lot (like Patty, lol) I can usually wear anything and be comfy but her feet start to hurt after a while.

Skullcandy Aviator 2.0 Over Ear Headphones with Mic - Black ($84.47): For me, I listen to music everywhere I go. Car rides, during workouts, etc. I know I will definitely be needing a good pair of headphones for this long ride.

If you like or would like to add anything to these outfit inspirations comment and let me know! I still have a week of last minute shopping to do ;)

Happy Travels,

Morning Routines

I really do wish I was more of a morning person. I love sleeping in, and definitely snooze too much in the mornings. Once I'm up and out of bed I'm good to go, but it's the actual getting out of bed part that is hard.

My usual morning routine goes as follows:

  • 7:30am - first alarm. snooze for 15 minutes.
  • 7:45am - get out of bed.
  • 7:45am-8:10am - get changed, do makeup, etc.
  • 8:10-8:30am - make 2 hardboiled eggs, pack snacks and lunch for the workday.
  • 8:35am - leave for work.
I know a lot of people who like to budget time in the mornings to eat breakfast and drink coffee, but I do both of these things in my car as I'm driving to work. That's why I eat hardboiled eggs each morning!

But here's my resolution: I'd like to try waking up a bit earlier to sit and drink my coffee in peace while watching the news or reading a book. I want to read more, and the morning is a perfect time to do so. At night I'm usually finishing up some work or relaxing in bed with Netflix.

I spend most of my day in front of a computer, either doing work for my job, or doing work for my business, so it would do me some good to not be in front of a screen in the morning!

I have tried getting up earlier to work out but it just doesn't work for me. I feel like a zombie and not awake enough to do something strenuous. I have thought about doing yoga in the AM though...perhaps this is something else I will try!

What about you - what is your morning routine?

LSO: Little Summer Outfit

I love skirts and dresses!! But it's been a while since I've worn them (not really sure why exactly...) They're so breezy and fun so yesterday I decided to wear a new skirt I received as a gift.
This sky blue skirt was a gift (and I never really found out where it was from) and I paired it with a patterned flower tank top crop top from Forever 21 which was probably only around 5 dollars!
It's funny because my friend asked me "Oh is that skirt from American Apparel?" Nope. "But the top is, right?" Guess again!
As you may have read in my last post about summer hairstyles, I never really do much with my hair. Here, I just clipped my hair into a half up half down hair-do. Also, I just wore simple studs from Forever 21 as well.

My sunglasses are from Rayban ("Small Aviator Metal") and I'm wearing Alex and Ani Bracelets ("M" and "Sagittarius").
Oh, here's a flower for y'all! Kind of dainty, oops.
Peace and L-O-V-E.

Hope you all have a great day! :)

Father's Day Gift Ideas

If you're a last minute shopper like I am, you probably haven't gotten your dad a gift yet. It's okay - there is still time! And I have a few ideas for you...

A watch// This is actually on my dad's wish list. He needs a new watch so he pointed out a Seiko watch that he wants. This Seiko watch is only $140 from Macy's. If you are combining a gift with a sibling, you could get this Movado watch which is a bit more casual as well.

A phone case// Who doesn't need a phone case? Sometimes you just want an extra just in case, or if you're like my sister, you switch your phone cases every other day. My dad's case has gotten a lot of wear and tear, so one year we got him an Otterbox for his iPhone. I love how durable and long lasting Otterboxes are...and once it breaks or wears you can get a free case from them when you send in your old one!

Boat shoes// My brother and dad wear boat shoes all the time in the winter. You might only think of Sperry's when you think of boat shoes, but there are so many out there in different price ranges...so you are bound to find something that works for your wallet. These Sperry's are $85, but if you're looking for something a bit more inexpensive, check out these canvas boat shoes from American Eagle which are $29.95.

Running shoes// If your dad is active, then he will love sneakers! If I got sneakers for every holiday, I'd be a happy girl. Also, sometimes people don't like to splurge on themselves, and sneakers can be pricey, so it's a perfect gift. If he has a favorite brand, stick to those. If he's never bought running sneakers before, get a gift card so he can go to a specialty running store and get fitted for sneakers that are perfect for his feet and running style. I did this last year and my dad loved the shoes I got him. He's ran in the Asics Gel Cumulus ever since!

Sports tickets// If you and your dad love sports, take him to a ball game! What better way to spend time with him on Father's day than out at a ballpark. If he's not a fan of baseball, then get him tickets to another sport or an IOU for tickets to a winter sporting event, if that's his thing.

Have you bought your dad a gift for Father's day yet?
What would you add to this list?
